Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 September 2026
- Our billboards are virtual. They exist only on this website, not in the real Times Square.
- You take a spot by bidding at least 10% more than its current total. Anyone can take it from you the same way, at any time.
- What you pay on a spot keeps counting, so winning it back costs only the difference.
- Your billboard may show only your app logo or a product ad. Anything else is removed without a refund.
- All payments are final. We only refund duplicate charges or charges caused by an error on our side.
These terms cover your use of nycsquarebid.lol (the "Site") and any purchase you make on it. The Site is run by Riyad Bakhshiyev, trading as nycsquarebid.lol, based in Poland ("we", "us"). By using the Site or buying a billboard spot, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. What we offer
The Site is an interactive 3D model of Times Square that anyone can explore in a web browser. Advertisers can buy a spot to show their app logo, a product ad image or a short silent video on one of the Site's virtual billboards. Their name and link appear in the Site's listings and leaderboard.
- The billboards are digital placements on this website only. We don't sell, rent or operate physical billboards.
- We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Times Square Alliance, the owners of the buildings shown, or any real billboard operator. Building and street names are used only to describe places in the model.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Google account, or with your email address and a password once you've verified your email. To buy a spot you must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you buy on behalf of a business, you confirm you're allowed to act for it. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it. Please keep the details you give us accurate.
3. How buying a spot works
- Every spot has a current price: its starting price, or the highest total anyone has paid for it.
- Every payment you make on a spot adds to your total for that spot. Your total keeps counting after someone outbids you.
- To take a spot, your total must reach at least 10% more than its current price, rounded up to the next whole US dollar. You pay only the difference between that amount and what you've already paid for the spot. The Site shows what you'll pay before you pay it.
- If you already hold a spot, you can raise your total by any whole dollar.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your ad goes live as soon as your payment is confirmed. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
- You keep the spot until another advertiser's total beats yours by at least 10%. That can happen at any time, including soon after your purchase. There is no minimum display period.
- Payments count in the order they're confirmed. If someone else takes the spot while you're paying, and your total no longer meets the 10% rule when your payment is confirmed, you don't get the spot. The payment still counts toward your total for that spot.
- Your total belongs to your account and to that spot. It can't be moved to another spot, transferred to anyone else, or exchanged for money.
- Prices, including any taxes that apply, are shown before you pay.
4. All payments are final
All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes when:
- another advertiser outbids you, however soon after you paid;
- your payment is confirmed after someone else has taken the spot, as described in section 3;
- your ad gets fewer views or clicks than you hoped; or
- we remove your ad because it breaks these terms or our Rules.
What you've paid on a spot stays in your total for that spot and counts toward winning it back.
Mistakes on our side. If you're charged more than once for the same payment, or charged because of an error or bug on our side (for example, your payment was taken but your ad never went live), we'll refund that charge in full. Contact us at hello@nycsquarebid.lol with your receipt.
Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU, EEA and UK. If you buy as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Your ad goes live straight away, so at checkout you ask us to start immediately and confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once your ad is displayed.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that can't be excluded.
5. Your ad
Your billboard may show only your app logo, or an ad for your own app or product. You're responsible for everything you submit: your logo, ad image or video, name and link. You confirm that you own it or have permission to use it. Your link must go straight to your own website, app store page or social profile. You may not submit anything that:
- isn't your app logo or a product ad, such as personal messages, memes, jokes, announcements or text-only statements;
- shows photos of people, or another person's or company's logo, product or trademark, or impersonates them;
- contains QR codes, phone numbers, coupon codes, or requests to contact you;
- uses a link shortener, redirect or link-in-bio page;
- links to an invite for a chat, group or server (such as Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp or Slack);
- is illegal, or promotes illegal products or services;
- is hateful, harassing, violent or sexually explicit;
- is misleading, a scam, or links to phishing or malware;
- infringes someone else's copyright or privacy;
- promotes gambling, weapons, drugs or tobacco; or
- is a political or election advertisement.
We may review, refuse or remove any ad that breaks these terms or our Rules, without a refund. A removed ad stops holding its spot and its payments stop counting toward anyone's total, so the spot goes back to the next-highest bidder, or opens at its starting price. We may also resize or crop an image or video to fit a billboard, and videos are always shown without sound.
6. Permission to show your ad
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show your ad on the Site, and to resize and crop it, for as long as you hold a spot. You also allow us to include the Site, with your ad visible, in screenshots, videos and posts that promote the Site, including ones published before you lose the spot. If you'd like us to stop featuring your ad in new promotional material, email us and we will.
7. Changes to the Site
We may change the 3D model, billboard positions and sizes, starting prices and features. If a change removes or moves a spot you hold, we'll move your ad and your total to a comparable spot. We don't promise the Site will always be available or free of errors, or that a certain number of people will see your ad.
8. Liability
We provide the Site "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before your claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using the Site at any time and ask us to delete your account, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date, and we'll tell you about important changes by email or on the Site. Each purchase is covered by the terms in force when you paid. If our Rules page ever conflicts with these terms, these terms apply.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
